Question about the straight leg bridges#1867

So i am having a hard time with straight leg bridges ..i did some reseach and found straight arm bridges ..which would put you in a revese tabletop posistion..which i can do ..would thay count as my straight leg bridge so i can progress further ? I dont see it as an option for a regression, which i dont need .. or should i jusy pracrice the reverse table top aka staright arm bridges until i can do straight leg ones

Hey. This is Chrys, one of the trainers at Hybrid.

Yeah, I’d use the reverse tabletop/straight arm bridge as an in-between step for now.

It’s not exactly the same as the straight leg bridge since your knees are bent, but it trains a lot of the same stuff and can help you build the shoulder, tricep, and backside strength you need for the harder version.

So I wouldn’t count it as fully completing the straight leg bridge progression yet, but I’d absolutely practice it until it feels strong and controlled. Then start testing straight leg bridges again every so often and see how they feel.
