Hey!
I don’t have anything to do the horizontal pull ups with, now I do them under the table where I grab the edge of the table and pull myself up under the table. Is this method valid? it is a wayyy bigger angle than in the video. I use my feet to make it easier. Is this a valid way to do them for now? I have seen the tiktok where Hampton makes his own with a stick but I haven’t managed it to work yet. I will buy some rings when I prove myself that I can stick with this.
thank you all for these incredible resources!
One merhod i did was loop a towel around door handles (you lean back into the room). Assuming you have sturdy doors, it WORKS, but the paint was starting to get scuffed, so I just starting skippibg pullups until my rings come in…

Hey. This is Chrys, one of the trainers at Hybrid.
Yeah, that’s totally valid for now. Using the table and keeping your feet on the floor to make it easier is a perfectly fine way to do horizontal rows. The angle doesn’t have to match the video exactly. Just make sure the table is really sturdy and you can control the movement without it shifting around.
You can slowly make it harder over time by moving your feet farther out or using less help from your legs. And honestly, waiting on the rings until you know you’re gonna stick with it makes sense. Use what you’ve got and keep building from there.
