New(er) to Hybrid: Default, Full Body, or Split?#1798

It looks like the full body does more exercises per week despite it being less frequent, in theory. However if I am coming back from a long hiatus, will I be able to put in the same amount of effort per exercise if doing full body vs the default routine? Looks like online recommendations are for full body either way, so is the default routine just to get peoples’ foot in the door? Also, what is the benefit of doing the split upper/lower?
