I’m starting with wall pushups and I’ve noticed that my dominant arm is more tense than the other when finishing the excercise. Am I doing the exercise wrong or is it just a muscle thing?

Hey. Chrys here, one of the trainers at Hybrid. That’s very common, especially when you’re starting out. Most people naturally rely more on their dominant side, so it ends up doing a bit more work and feeling more tense at the end. It doesn’t automatically mean your form is wrong.
That said, it’s a good cue to slow the reps down and pay attention to symmetry. Make sure your hands are placed evenly, your shoulders stay level, and you’re pushing the wall away with both arms equally instead of shifting slightly to one side. Think about spreading the effort evenly rather than letting your stronger arm take over.
As you keep training, this usually evens out on its own. If the tension turns into pain, or you notice clear twisting or shifting during the movement, then it’s worth adjusting. Otherwise, it’s just your body learning to balance things out.
