Hey I’m not the same guy from the this question but if you say to do more reps would that make me become too big because I’m doing sports right now and I don’t know if I do more reps or do slower ones if it’ll make me too big which is something I’m trying to avoid because I wanna be athletic and pretty muscular but not too much to the point where it doesn’t benefit me I’m also done with the routine I started 4 years ago and im still trying to become more stronger but not get too big

Hey. This is Chrys, one of the trainers at Hybrid.
Once you finish the routine and hit all the progressions, you don’t stop training, you just change the goal. At that point you either make the movements harder with slower tempo, pauses, added reps, or external load, or you start working toward skills like deeper pushups, harder pull-up variations, handstands, bridges, and so on. A lot of people also cycle back and use the easier versions as warmups or recovery while pushing the harder variations as their main work. The routine gives you the foundation, and after that it’s about choosing what you want to build on top of it.
