Do you have to pressed together your thighs on this exercise because on the app it says that as a form cue, but do you really have to or is that optional because I don’t really think that it helps that much it just makes it harder to move or breath.

Nah, you don’t have to keep your thighs pressed together the whole time. That cue’s just there to help some people stay more stable and engage their core a bit better, but it’s not essential. If squeezing your thighs makes it harder to move or breathe, skip it. The goal is clean control and alignment, not extra tension that throws off your breathing or form. As long as your posture and movement are solid, you’re good without that cue.
