Hey Ajao! Try the kneeling variants to build up strength initially!

Apart from the kneeling variation what other exercise target the same muscle group that Pushups target which will help me to get my first pushups

I can think of a few off hand. Incline pushups are one of the best imo —hands elevated on a sturdy surface like a table, bench, or wall so you’re pressing less of your bodyweight while still practicing the full motion. Negative pushups work too: start at the top of a pushup and slowly lower yourself down under control, then reset back to the top without worrying about pressing up. Wall pushups are another solid entry point if floor work feels too heavy.

These variations let you train the exact movement pattern at a manageable difficulty. As you get stronger, lower the incline or slow down the negatives, and you’ll reach your first full pushup a lot faster. Of course theres also a pushup hold variant where you remain in the bottom portion of a pushup and try to hold for time
