Is the normal hybrid routine enough to achieve one arm pull ups? I understand that for strength less volume is required and it is more specific to the movement and intensity, however, I was wondering is incorporating other exercises such as one arm Scap pulls would help me achieve a one pull up faster.

Hey. This is Chrys, one of the trainers at Hybrid.
The normal Hybrid routine builds a really strong pulling base, but on its own it usually won’t be enough to get you to a one-arm pullup. That move is so intense that it takes more than just high-rep rows, pullups, and archer work—you need targeted progressions that teach your body to handle the load on one side.
That’s where things like one-arm scap pulls, assisted one-arm pullups (using a band or grabbing your wrist for support), and archer or typewriter pullups come in. Those drills teach you the specific strength, scapular control, and stability needed for the transition from two arms to one. You don’t have to ditch the Hybrid structure—just layer in these focused exercises on your pulling days.
