Pure strength guide#1183

V

Hi, i have a hard time understnad the guide pure strength.

So if i do pure strength routine is it correctly understood that

Every hour for 10 hours, i do 2 sets of 6 reps pushups until failure, preferable within 6 reps per set and rested for about 5mins before doing the last set of the two?

I really dont understand how im supposes to go about it. Can someone maybe provide an example with pushups or something else so i can visulize it?

Kind Regards

Heya - I’ll explain :)

Just wanna add the disclaimer that: we don’t necessarily recommend the the pure strength or the bodyweight muscle routine for anyone starting out - they’re mostly to provide ideas of how things could be approached, the Hybrid Routine 2.0 is what we recommend instead!

Additionally, I wanna give you this entry here to help you better understand how to work more towards strength if that’s what you desire: https://support.hybridcalisthenics.com/849

To explain how it works though: I sorta touched upon it here which might help https://support.hybridcalisthenics.com/865

But to go by the example of your pushups:
You do 1-2 pushups every hour, of a variation that you could do 5-8 of if you went to failure - but you’re staying far away from failure (explanation in the first link)

So really you just do 1-2 reps every hour for 10 hours (a total of 10-20 reps a day)

I hope that explains that!
